Small Group Tour of the Cotswolds

Updated: Feb 14, 2020

Planning you 2020 holiday to England? The likelihood is that you are heading to the big capital, London. With so many things to do we are sure you must have a huge list. Perhaps you want to see the Tower of London, visit Covent Garden, take in a show in London's West End. Admire the Houses of Parliament or watch the Changing of the Guards. All top highlights & well worth a visit.

After some super busy days and lots of pavement stomping, why not take a break and escape out into the English countryside! The Cotswolds is super easy to reach from London Paddington by train. Perhaps you want to visit as a day trip or spend a few nights taking in this traditional English landscape.

First things first, the Cotswolds is 800 square miles, so you won't be able to see everything. Public transport isn't great, especially to the tiny villages with their super cute cottages. Well this is where we come in....Cotswolds Guided Tours is a tiny local company whose aim is to provide fun & friendly small group tours in the North Cotswold region.

Locals Lucy & Richard started their company in 2017 & it has grown from strength to strength. Now really this should be described as a micro tour! It is a super small group of 7 guests each day & there is only one minibus, so seats fill up fast.

There are two day tours to choose from, The Famous Cotswolds Tour visits all the must see locations, with a sprinkling of hidden gems. These include Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water, Upper & Lower Slaughter, a secret village & a picture perfect thatched village. We also have the Cotswold Highlights, again this tour visit 6 stunning locations, three remote & peaceful villages, including Stanway, Stanton & Snowshill, 2 magnificent market towns, Broadway & Chipping Campden along with the iconic landmark of Broadway Tower with its stunning views. These 6 hour Cotswold tours are priced at £55 per person

New for 2020 Lucy & Richard are providing Cotswold Evening Tours. These tours start from Moreton in Marsh railway station, so are ideal for tagging on after a day exploring in Oxford, or on your first evening in the Cotswolds. It is a condensed version of the Famous Cotswolds tour & visits 3 fantastic locations, Bourton on the Water, Lower & Upper Slaughter. This 2 hour 30 minute tour is priced at £35 per person. Because of 'daylight saving' this tour will be run in May, June & July. 21st June is the longest day of the year & although we would love to run this tour all year round, unfortunately these are the only months were we can offer this tour, as we feel it is important that our guests can see the locations we visit!

Why choose Cotswolds Guided Tours?

We think we are the best fit for you because we are the only Cotswold tour that offers live microphone commentary from your local driver guide. We keep our group sizes small, so very visitor can interact with the guide. We offer you free time at every location we visit, this means when we stop you can get out of the minibus & explore the locations uncrowded. We are also the only company that provides maps of every location, so you can fill the tour with the things that interest you the most. We are the smallest, per person priced tour in the Cotswolds & we offer unrivalled customer service, just check out our stunning 650+ reviews on TripAdvisor.

We can't wait to meet you & be part of your trip to England & the Cotswolds. Just remember to book soon to avoid disappointment. Tours are starting on 2nd March & run all the way through to the end of October.
