Well if you decide to visit the Cotswolds then you may decide to base yourself in Burford, with its long high street set on the hill. It is easy to see why Burford is classed as one of the 'Gateways to the Cotswolds'.
You can fill your day with exploring the many antiques shops, boutique stores & fabulous places to eat...we particularly love the Highway Inn. Then you may decide that you would like to take a Cotswolds Tour. Unfortunately there are no local companies that offer pick ups from Burford. So you would have two options on reaching Cotswolds Guided Tours, collection points. The first would be by taking a taxi & if you are travelling as a group of friends then you can divide the cost (as taxi's can be expensive.....we would say to estimate £30 each way to Stow on the Wold) or you can make use of Public Transport......
What to take a Cotswolds Guided Tour from Burford (Mon-Fri):
If you wanted to reach Moreton in Marsh in time for the our Cotswolds Guided Tours to start then here is what you need to do:
Here is an example of the route:
1. Catch the 233 bus from Burford, War Memorial at 8.24am to Hanborough Railway Station where you will arrive at 9.07am
2. Catch the Great Western Railway Train from Hanborough Railway Station at 9.18am or 9.33am to reach Moreton in Marsh in time for the tour to start at 10am.
This Bus service is provided by Stagecoach, we would advise you check the timetable yourself to be confident you can reach us, and ask your hotel to point out the bus stop when you are in Burford.

You can of course return to Burford via the reverse route, leaving Moreton in Marsh by train at 4.46pm to reach Hanborough at 5.17pm then you can catch the bus back to Burford, which leaves Hanborough at 5.33pm and reaches Burford at 6.25pm.
